Baking Machine...

I spent 5 glorious hours in the kitchen, baking! I truly love baking it makes me happy, almost as happy as running makes me, I mean almost as happy as the fiance makes me ;)

First things first:

I need a list :)

First on the list was Brownie Covered OreosJenny made these delicious treats a few weeks back and I just knew I had to make them for Christmas!

Candy Cane Brownies

Adapted from: Picky Palate

Ingredients:
1 Box of Brownie Mix ( I use two different types; Betty Crocker Fudge Brownies and Trader Joes Guilt Free Brownies)
1 Box of Joe Joe’s/Oreos (I used the Candy Cane Flavor to go along with Christmas)
Icing, Sprinkles, (anything you want to top your goodies with)
White Chocolate, melted to drizzle on top of brownie
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Prepare brownie mix according to box directions (leave in bowl)
3. Spray muffin tin with cooking spray
4. Dip Oreo (Joe Joe's) into brownie mix, cover completely (This will get messy!)
5. Placed covered cookie into muffin tin
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes (until Brownie is cooked)
7. As soon as you remove from oven, run a knife along the edges of the brownie
8. Let cool 5-10 minutes
9. Drizzle with melted White chocolate, icing, or sprinkles
10. Enjoy :)
All your needs!

Brownie Mix

Dip Your Oreo
Place in muffin tin
Drizzle with icing and Enjoy :)
I also baked Candy Cane Sugar Cookies
Needs:

Very simple directions:

1. Prepare sugar cookie mix according to package (I used the roll dough and just placed in a bowl)
2. Add a few drops of peppermint to mixture
3. Place tablespoon of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart
4. Bake 10-12 minutes
5. When done baking add crumbled candy canes to warm cookie (Smash candy canes in a storage bag)
6. Enjoy!
I also made snickerdoodles (my favorite cookie, besides oreos) and basic sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles

I also had the best helper ever! Fiance went to the grocery store, not once but FOUR times tonight! I owe him big time! He's the best :) LOVE LOVE LOVE him!
My list is finally complete

Now off to bed

  2. How did your candy cane brownies turn out? I made them a few weeks ago with Joe Joes and the Reduced Guilt mix, and they ended up being hard as a rock after they cooled. I had one fresh from the oven, but I ended up throwing out the rest. Sad. :(
